I worked closely with the custom team to edit and develop accessible and informative webtexts for students across the country.

I taught and reinforced skills in the subjects of reading, writing, and mathematics to a wide age range of students.

A few talented writers and I were tasked with launching the company’s blog. To do so, I pitched several ideas for articles, conducted extensive research, and went through several editing phases before publication.

In my time at Valley Central Middle School, I was tasked with designing a unit surrounding Harper Lee’s To Kill A Mockingbird. In addition to facilitating conversations regarding the complex concepts of racism and justice, I engendered several opportunities for students to analyze the novel through creative writing. In doing so, I developed a skill set around supporting an author’s voice while simultaneously offering critical and constructive editing feedback

One of my largest responsibilities as a Resident Assistant was designing programs that were tailored to represent my dormitory residents' interests and needs. With this in mind, I generated numerous creative advertisements using both visuals and text to engage residents and work to create an inclusive and exciting community. Another aspect of the position was using precise and specific language to write protocol based reports. With required meetings and scheduled hours to enforce protocol, this position assisted me in developing an efficient time management routine.

While student teaching at Monroe Woodbury High School, I was responsible for designing and implementing the curriculum for 150 tenth grade students. This involved working with the current classroom teacher in addition to ensuring classroom discipline, taking attendance and grading all student submissions. In the Honors sections, I had students create an argumentative presentation and begin to break down Shakespeare's language in Taming of the Shrew. With the Co-Teach sections, I gave students a memoir writing assignment to assess writing and simultaneously provide students with a space for self-expression and creative writing.
