Sam Franklin is an accomplished finance executive with a multifaceted career spanning investment banking, investment management and corporate finance. He holds a Law degree, with post-graduate qualifications from the Association of Corporate Treasurers, in addition to being a CIMA Fellow Chartered Management Accountant. Franklin has worked across diverse financial landscapes and led multi-billion dollar transactions, for institutions such as Barclays, MUFG, Mubadala Investment Company and GlobalFoundries. He has lived and worked in the UK, the UAE, and the USA, gaining invaluable insights into global markets and collaborating with management teams across multiple sectors, including technology, energy, infrastructure and manufacturing. Franklin’s extensive experience encompasses leadership roles in Treasury, Risk Management, Corporate Finance, FP&A, Investor Relations, Capital Markets and Strategic Finance. Currently based in Austin, Texas, Franklin leads the Commercial, Business, and Technology Finance & Operations function, as well as Investor Relations, for GlobalFoundries, one of the world’s largest pure-play semiconductor manufacturers.
