In my role at Contract Innovation I am responsible for the delivery of all model based system engineering simulation related activity and for defining our future simulation strategy as we plan the next phase of the business growth and expansion.Current capabilities under my leadership include:- Model Based System Optimisation: Leading the development and application of digital engineering processes within our holistic system engineering approach- Digital test and evaluation: Reducing development cost and time to market through the application of MIL, DIL and HIL testing across the v-cycle- Component optimisation: High fidelity parametric modelling for design optimisation particularly within a system under electrical/electronic control.

Driveline & Transmission Systems Engineer

PhD Title: A Method of Using Computer Simulation to Assess the Functional Performance of Football BootsCollaborated research project with adidas involved the creation of both bespoke mechanical testing protocols and Finite Element tools to provide predictive and valid simulations to investigate the mechanical function of football boots. The methods developed within the PhD included the successful virtual assembly of 3D athletic footwear using FEA techniques from raw multi-layered components based on real manufacturing patterns, geometry and materials, validated against experimental measurements.
