OwnerAll-American Lambs 1996 - PresentWinterset, Iowa, UsAll-American Lambs is the farm name and marketing brand for the sheep production unit owned fully by Sam Funk. The farm has utilized the http://www.greatlambs.com website to market sheep across the U.S.After having won significant awards with several individuals - including divisional champions at multiple state fairs - in 2007 the farm took a significant step forward with the purchase of 70 head of ewes from Hancock Hampshires. This purchase included the dams and granddams of lambs that had placed at the top of some of the nation's premier market lamb shows - including Houston, Fort Worth, and several state fairs. The list of legendary rams used within the All-American program is significant. In 2010 the All-American flock took a new direction. With Sam's Ph.D. coursework completed, he returned to his native state of Missouri. The sheep flock was divided into two separate ewe bases - a smaller unit in Missouri and the larger group of Hampshires under the care of friends who have been long-time customers as well.Sam's skill in evaluating sheep has been beneficial on the farm, but has been in demand as others have asked him to evaluate sheep for their operations and at livestock exhibitions. Sam was honored to judge the Iowa State Fair FFA Sheep Shows in 2012. -
