In my role, I provide technical support and training of equipment & software to a range of stakeholders to facilitate the effective delivery of the Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes within the Media course. I provide technical training and assistance to staff and students, involving demonstrating to students how to use subject-specific software packages, photographic and video production equipment. This also includes preparing materials and the structure of the demonstration sessions.My job is very fast-paced, as I frequently troubleshoot issues with the equipment and software. I often have to prioritise my tasks, dropping non-urgent requests on an ad-hoc basis to assist with issues which demand my immediate attention.A major part of my role is to manage the maintenance and upkeep of all media equipment, computer hardware and software for the Media department. I also lead on all matters relating to the operation of the Media Building, oversight of the security of the building and Health and Safety compliance. I have oversight of Media finances, including the procurement of specialist equipment and consumables which support the delivery of Media courses. This includes ensuring that the appropriate equipment is in place as the curriculum changes over time.

Training international students on creative software and video production equipment. The software training was on Apple Mac and included Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro and InDesign. The video production training was predominantly on Canon Legria camcorders, Tascam microphones and Manfrotto tripods.

My role was to design modern and responsive client websites, based on current trends, a wireframe drawing and a brief from the client and to develop it into a live website. I would work with a brief from the client and create a website as per their requests and specifications.

Whilst at Hideaway Media I produced and edited time-lapse videos. My role involved shooting time-lapse photography and editing a series of time-lapsed images into videos using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. Editing the time-lapse sequences was a lengthy process, but a rewarding one, as I was confidently able to turn 6 months of time-lapsed photography into a 2 minute video. As a separate part of this role, I also redesigned the company website and created a mini-site for future clients.

I was brought on board to revitalise the company website and to produce fresh and modern promotional material. The marketing material I produced included logos, business cards, letter heads, email banners as well as a six-foot tall freestanding exhibition banner. I participated in exhibitions and supported my managing director in pitch meetings and presentations for the 3D haptic interactive console that the company was developing, named "Probos". Other duties included emailing clients and software developers, updating records, CRM, maintaining multiple Content Management Systems and keeping social media sites up to date.

I was responsible for the workflow and trafficking of artwork and print for a major packaging distributor. I delegated work to the design studio in order to meet deadlines and deliver projects on time. A major part of this role was observing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPI's) to ensure that we were meeting our targets. I had to frequently liaise with our overseas offices, which meant that good and clear communication skills were essential. Often there were issues with the designs, which I would have to prioritise over my other tasks, as they would need to be amended quickly due to print deadlines. I was responsible for making sure that print deadline targets were met and the work was completed to a professional standard, requiring a keen eye for attention to detail.
