I'm here to share my product, Pressdress, a cover for cordless press tools used in many aspects of plumbing. While working for 10 years as a modern plumber in the domestic, commercial and civil area, I recognised an expensive issue many fellow plumbers were experiencing. When bare press tools are exposed to dirt, dust, mud and water, they are damaged and degraded both internally and externally. This would result in worst case, total failure of the tool at full cost to the plumber. Even if the tool doesn't fail on the day, the build up of moisture and foreign matter is eating away at the vital components inside the tool. I strive to develop and manufacture products which best solve this problem. By using impervious neoprene material, tailored to individual makes and models, the vast majority of the tool is shielded from damage whilst in use. It has been an exciting journey so far, connecting with people and businesses in Australia, Asia, USA, Europe and the UK. I have been able to gain experience and learn by actively participating in product development, prototyping, sourcing, testing, online marketing, sales and interaction with existing and prospective customers. Sales have ranged in size from single units through to water authorities and councils covering each of their press tools. Via online store, retail and wholesale these covers have been sold locally, nationally and internationally.
