Founded a real estate company in Yellowknife with two other partners in 2012. Given the small size of the market, our operations can be split into three distinct phases: redevelopment projects where we raised capital on a project-by-project basis, redevelopment projects where we operated with a permanent base of equity, and finally as a buy-and-hold operator of commercial space. In each phase, my role and responsibilities were as follows:CEO, & CFO (CloudWorks Phase 3 - Space-as-a-Service) 2017 - PresentCoudWorks shifted to being a buy-and-hold operator of commercial space. Operated under a model known as Space-as-a-Service which provides tenants with flexible leases and services (like WeWork). - Primarily responsible for overall strategic direction, investment analysis, investor-facing communications and finances. - Designed & implemented systems for flexible leasing model, including financial administration, leasing, background tech (white label app & website) & KPIs. - 2018 Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year

CloudWorks Phase 2 - RedevelopmentWith permanent equity, CloudWorks managed four redevelopment projects, including two condo conversions, a residential redevelopment and a commercial building repositioning. - Primary lead on new project sourcing, assessments, structuring & financing origination. Includes completion of due diligence, valuations, financial assessment & risk assessment. - On green-lit projects, acted as primary lead on borrower negotiations, legal documentation, deal structuring & creation of information packages for banks. - Provided support to co-managing partner on project management, including construction, surveyors & other contractors

CloudWorks Phase 1 - RedevelopmentRaised $880,000 on project-by-project basis on three redevelopment projects. Projects included two condominium conversions and a residential infill project. - Similar role to phase 2, but was also co-lead equity raising including identifying suitable investors and creating pitch books.
