Analyzed diffusivity MR spectroscopy data in order to investigate the efficacy of a novel diffusion fMRI for noninvasive assessment of white matter microstructure, specifically the phenomena of neurotransmission-induced myelin swelling. Co-authored publication in PNAS, as well as a top five abstract at the 2017 ISMRM conference.

Developed an ex vivo protocol to compare the ability of multiple diffusion MR models to estimate diffusion metrics in an edematous pathological environment. Compared diffusion basis spectrum imaging (DBSI) to diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) in a post-mortem human brain with brain tumor.
