Reliability Lead Engineer - Defect Elimination - Processing Plant

Implement maintenance work plans to validate the integrity of plant, equipment and infrastructure in accordance with defined standards and procedures defined. Provide electrical advice, execute analysis and benchmarking of the Surface Maintenance function’s end-to-end performance and identify and implement improvement initiatives that enable functional excellence.

• Responsible for maintenance and development the following fields: - Electrical Arc Furnace (160 tons capacity) and Thin Slab Caster. - Electric power systems (electric power distribution, 33 kV power system, 152 MVA EAF transformer with On Load Tap Changer, MV and LV switchgears, MCCs). - Electric machines and electric speed control drives (squirrel-cage motors, slip-ring motors, servo motors, soft starter, Siemens Sinamics, Siemens… Show more • Responsible for maintenance and development the following fields: - Electrical Arc Furnace (160 tons capacity) and Thin Slab Caster. - Electric power systems (electric power distribution, 33 kV power system, 152 MVA EAF transformer with On Load Tap Changer, MV and LV switchgears, MCCs). - Electric machines and electric speed control drives (squirrel-cage motors, slip-ring motors, servo motors, soft starter, Siemens Sinamics, Siemens MASTERDRIVES, Siemens MICROMASTER, Siemens SIMOTRAS, ABB ACS 800, FDA Controllers). - PLC (Siemens, PCS7, S7 and S5, ABB AC 800M). - HMI (Siemens WinCC and COROS, Wonderware InTouch). - Instrumentation, electro-pneumatic, electro-hydraulic, fume extraction system, water cooling system, etc. - Upgrade discontinued equipment to state-of-the-art. - Perform troubleshooting and investigate electrical and electronic failures.• Utilize obtained comprehensive knowledge of developing and maintaining electrical systems to required specifications focusing on safety, productivity, quality, reliability and sustainability. • Responsible for upgrading overhead cranes (260,110, 85, 10… hoists tons) from obsolete motor speed control to state-of-the-art control. • Technical project leader to install and commission CEMS. Wrote bid document, evaluation of technical offers, execute FAT & SAT and commissioning.• Lead and motivate supervisors and maintenance employees to achieve PM (Preventive Maintenance), increasing equipment reliability.• Apply modifications to enhance equipment performance, production and reduce spare parts consumption.• Purchase electrical spare parts with considering stock control.• Work with/supervise EZDK partners such as Siemens (Germany and Egypt), SMS Siemag (Germany), Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen (Germany), ABB (Egypt), Danieli (Italy), TAMINI (Italy),Toshiba (Japan), Bando Cranes (South Korea) in projects in EZDK.
