Assist in the development of the LALC Management Support System and Risk Assessment tool in-line with the NSWALC risk management and funding policy.Assist Local Aboriginal Land Council’s with the preparation of their annual budget submissions and assess the LALC budgets in-line with the NSWALC funding policy and ALRA.Provide LALC’s with advice around ALRA compliance and operational implementation.Assess LALC audited financial statements in-line with the Aboriginal Land Rights Act and the Public Finance and Audit Act.Assist in the LALC auditor appointment process, conducting an in-depth assessment of auditor tender submissions across the state of NSW and evaluate their suitability for appointment as an external auditor to Local Aboriginal Land Councils. Participate in the NSWALC NZ internal audit process.Monitor and assist the Local Aboriginal Land Council network with their internal governance policies, procedures and compliance.Ensure that the NSWALC NZ Finance Team operated within the NSWALC’s governance structure as defined by the ALRA1983 and the NSWALC strategic plan.Provide financial reports and commentary to the relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
