I have over 15 years experience in the hydrospatial industry across multiple disciplines. Initially specialising as a survey engineer, I focused on rig moves and surface positioning systems. My love of R&D eventually shifted my focus into how we can make our industry more efficient and on streamlining the technology deployed in the field.I subsequently moved to a role within offshore construction surveying expanded my knowledge of survey and ROV operations with a focus on subsea positioning systems, metrologies, and equipment configuration. My constant pursuit of a more senior role resulted in a move to a project coordination role, and eventually a role as project manager for a multinational survey company. The experience I gained in this role has proved invaluable for my development. I was responsible for the mobilisation of survey personnel and equipment, development of project procedures, management of budgets and schedules, and technical management of business IT hardware and software. My time in this role helped me develop my skills with client relationships and how to develop and nurture those connections with suppliers and clients alike. My role was also highly technical, with offshore and office experience in performing multiple AUV based projects, autonomous surface vessel surveys, IHO-S44 compliant multibeam surveys, geophysical data processing, and overall delivery of project deliverables.During the COVID-19 pandemic, I made the difficult decision to step aside from this role to progress my MBA and CAPM studies, as well as launching my own business as a hydrospatial industry consultant & freelance surveyor. Establishing and growing this business has given me an incredible appreciation for what is required as a startup business, and is a testimony to my dedication to the industry. The experience I have gained in the freelance roles during this time has been diverse including experience in nearshore coastal pre-dredging activities, large scale offshore construction, metocean equipment mobilisation/deployments, and multibeam survey activities. I am an incredibly motivated and ambitious problem solver. I’m a fast learner who loves to be part of a team environment and enjoys establishing relationships with clients and suppliers alike.
