Sam Gohra is a Writer | Editor | Narrative Designer at Choice of Games. Colleagues describe him as "When Sam joined Blowfish Studios, we were looking for a particular skill set: someone who had incredible attention to detail and the ability to match tone to write and edit game store pages, press releases, and other marketing copy, and edit and improve scripts of games being externally developed and published by Blowfish Studios. Sam exceeded our expectations while also being a skilled and talented creative writer across many media, including interactive fiction. Sam was excellent at managing his time and the tasks assigned independently by the Marketing and Narrative departments, always being transparent when Marketing priorities might impact his work for the Narrative team. Despite working remotely and in another time zone, Sam was proactive about following up with me, members of the narrative or marketing teams, or any other teams or staff across the studio who he was working with. Sam also became our go-to for the finer details about project lore, much of which was written before he joined the project. If anything came up that clashed with something pre-existing, he was happy to do a risk analysis, discuss potential repercussions and solutions, and make changes as needed. He is also receptive to feedback on his own work: he is driven to improve and perfect his writing. Likewise, he tactfully delivered astute feedback to all team members - including me! Overall, Sam is a conscientious team member who can work autonomously and proactively, creating compelling and interesting storytelling to spec while respectfully balancing game needs, past lore decisions, and storytelling opportunities.
