Barefoot Architects work on homes, housing and community projects. We established the practice to inspire and enable communities and individuals to build a better future. We believe great design should be available to everyone and develop projects that are socially and environmentally conscious; fit for the 21st Century. We are based at the vibrant creative hub at the Paintworks with offices in Bristol and Totnes, Devon. Current projects include the development 53 cohousing scheme for Bridport Community Land Trust in West Dorset and other residential and community development projects across the South of the UK.

I joined FCB Studios in 2010 and have worked on a variety of projects in the Education and Arts sectors. I completed Tudor Grange Academy in Worcester, an £11.6m 70% new build 30% refurbishment as project architect. Following the completion of this project I ran phases 1 and 2 for new Artists workshops for Plymouth College of Art as part of a masterplan for ongoing works to consolidate their campus. Other projects include a new secondary school in Ipswich which I took to planning following extensive consultation with the school, and Bedales Art and Design building.
