I gained a valuable insight into the intrinsic demands of Offshore safety culture, costal navigation and passage planning as well as IMDG code compliance when organising a deck pay load. Additionally, I learnt a good deal of character skills such as remaining resilient in adverse weather, the ability to focus on safety centric tasks and additionally the extensive protocols of North Sea Operations. I remain privileged to have been given such advantages at such an early stage in my naval officer career as have been provided here. -
