Fiber Technician
CurrentCreate Fiber projects- requisition.Complete cost estimates from differrng teams and approval and approval vendor invoices.Desing fiber backbone.Assign/ Identidy fiber optic circuits, desing fiber maps.Provide operations/ Provisioning with final closing asbuit test shots fiber package.Submit the necessary change management notifications.Work in hand with fiber construction managers.Review capacity reports and plan a network expansion on high utilization areas.Responsible for all emergency and trouble response, engage ROC, NOC ENOC and mobilize necessary repair crews.Complete cost estimates request from ISP/OSP/Sales engineering.Obtain permits for construction, aerial and underground when required.Attend kick off meeting Obtain/Deliver materials to subcontractors.Verify work-in-progress report.Field verification/testing of all construction activities.Modify design schematics to "as built" documentation.Troubleshoot/ repair supervise emergency restoration and maintenance.Submit reports on all construction activity, daily, weekly and monthly as required.Monitor subcontractor safety performance.Attend training classes for new technology and safety as required.Manage the planning and construction of fiber optic /coaxial HFC networks for new build, rebuild or repair.
