I celebrated my 25th year of teaching and have a wide range of experience in the classroom, on the sports field and as a manager. I served on senior management at St Charles College as Head of Prep Academics and I am currently on the Applewood Preparatory Board where I represent our staff in my capacity as Principal. I believe in balance and have headed up a number of different codes of sport in my various schools. I have coached hockey at provincial level and developed a school hockey programme which has seen St Charles become one of the top hockey schools in Kwazulu Natal, South Africa.My strengths include: collaborative leadership, innovative thinking, relationship building, integrating wholesome teaching practice with technology, empowering both educators and other staff to develop themselves both professionally and personally. I am fascinated by the challenge of the changing landscape which is education.
