Providing onsite process engineering support across the QGC Central and Northern Water Treatment Facilities for treatment of coal seam gas water.Responsibilities:- Manage the process operations of water treatment plants to treat coal seam gas water for reuse to ensure compliant water quality is produced at all times.- Diagnosis of process issues and plant breakdowns to assist in maintenance activities.- Design of plant changes to improve plant performance and management of changes through MoC processes.- Assess the performance and operation of plant against operating protocols and asset integrity standards.- Preparation of reports on process performance for internal and external clients.- Training and mentoring of plant operators in process operations and water quality.

Conducting research and operational investigations for the Water Treatment & Distribution research team. Areas of focus included chloramine decay and biofiltration.Responsibilities:- Planning and conducting laboratory, pilot and full-scale investigations to provide key information plant operators and optimise plant operations and capital expenditure- Providing consulting services to external customers through the Australian Water Quality Centre arm of SA Water- Reporting research findings including preparing technical reports, papers and presentations- Preparing standard operating procedures and risk assessments for pilot plants and laboratory equipment

Graduate program with rotations throughout the SA Water business. Placements were completed in Water Treatment Operations & Maintenance, Water Treatment Design, and Water Treatment & Distribution Research.Responsibilities:- Monitoring of plant performance in according with drinking water quality management systems and recording of incidents (water quality and HSE) in incident management systems- Assisting in operation of conventional, membrane and reverse osmosis water treatment plants including performance optimisation and preparation of standard operating procedures- Conducting full-scale and pilot-scale research investigations to optimise water treatment processes including membrane filtration, media filtration and UV disinfection systems.- Development of online and offline tools to monitor treatment process performance and assist operators in optimising operating conditions- Assisting in strategic reviews of water treatment plants- Conducting lab-scale and pilot-scale research projects
