Ahead of the IPO I was the product leader for the the three horizontal tech groups and 10+ teams that underpin Deliveroo’s ecosystem — guaranteeing trust and integrity across the marketplace for all three sides of it, and providing the underlying platforms that accelerate engineers, data scientists and others in our mission to be the definitive food company.This included:- Care: Proactive, self-serve and reactive experiences and tooling for customer service on all sides of the marketplace.- Trust: algorithms underpinning our assessment of trust in each interaction across the marketplace.- Financial Systems: the payments experiences and underlying tech for our consumers, riders, restaurants and grocers, plus the accounting systems that power our financial reporting.- Data Platforms: data modelling, our self-serve experimentation platform and our ML platform.- Production Engineering Platforms: our underlying architecture, developer tooling, productivity and incident engineering.

Building the financial ecosystem to power Deliveroo's mission of becoming the world's definitive food company.As part of this I led the product group moving Deliveroo's proposition forward across consumer payments, rider and restaurant payouts and marketplace risk, driving seamless payments acceptance for consumers, flexible payments out for riders and restaurants and high-trust marketplace interactions which eliminate fraud, abuse and account risk across Deliveroo's 13 global markets.

Led and implemented product strategy across HarperCollins’ core fiction and non-fiction business.Highlights included: - Partnering with Samsung and Aardman across EFIGS to deliver the Hobbit Official Visual Companion app - Hitting Editor's Choice on both sides of the Atlantic with Wonders of Life and substantially growing the Wonders franchise - Establishing a series of interactive, javascript-driven ebooks as a means of exploring fantasy and historical fiction titles and adding value for consumers (for George R.R. Martin, The Hobbit and Conn Iggulden.)Prior to my product focus I spent several years working on strategy & business development projects (having joined HC on the graduate scheme), including establishing the digital operations for the company's core fiction business, acquiring digital rights for a range of key titles and developing relationships with, and account management for, strategic distribution partners (including Apple, Amazon, Google and Barnes & Noble). As part of this I was promoted twice: from Graduate Trainee to Digital Product Manager, and from Digital PM to Senior Mobile PM.
