I am a Chartered Planner with more than sixteen years experience working in both the public and private sectors.Having completed an MA in Town and Country Planning, and graduating with Distinction, at the University of the West of England in 2012 I successfully completed my APC and achieved Chartered Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute in October 2013.Previous experience working in the public sector as a development management planner, including with the Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project regime, and the private sector as a planning consultant has allowed me to accrue a great understanding of the processes and functions of both local government planning offices and private practice.

    This post is jointly funded by EDF Energy and Salamanca Group Ltd through the legal agreements associated with the Hinkley Point C and Gravity projects. My responsibilities revolve around the positive delivery and successful implementation of both projects in relation to transport and infrastructure.Particular projects and programmes that I continue to lead and collaborate on include:- Project management and delivery of two public realm enhancement and sustainable infrastructure projects, in and around Bridgwater, with a combined total value of over £1million.- Working closely with the Local Highway Authority and EDF on the management and delivery of a travel demand management and behaviour change programme for Bridgwater and the wider communities with a value of over £2.8million.- Working closely with the developer, a team of consultants and the Local Highway Authority to ensure early and successful delivery of the £10.3million Gravity link road, opening up the Enterprise Zone and 222 acres of consented employment land on the Southwest's largest brownfield site.- Engaging with stakeholders and partners in order to ensure the successful and timely delivery of various safety and capacity transportation schemes in Bridgwater with a total value of approximately £3.9million.- Providing an oversight and liaison role on behalf of Sedgemoor District Council to the Local Highway Authority on the design, project management and phased delivery of a number of walking and cycling infrastructure schemes across the HPC HGV corridors within Sedgemoor with a combined value of over £3.1million.

    This post was funded by EDF through the legal agreements associated with the HPC project. HPC will be the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK. The site covers approximately 175 hectares and will comprise two new nuclear reactors adjacent to Hinkley A & B. The two new reactors will generate 3,260MW of power which is the equivalent of the energy needs of five million homes, or 7% of the UKs energy needs.My responsibilities revolved around the positive delivery, successful implementation and monitoring of the project in accordance with the DCO. I was involved in the management and delivery of the Council's obligations pursuant to the legal agreements and the discharging of requirements and obligations in relation to the project. Sitting in the Major Projects Office I also coordinated the consultation responses from statutory and non-statutory consultees and acted as a primary point of contact for all stakeholders.
