My role is to source candidates through various means (job boards, LinkedIn, internal databases) for purposes of fulfilling the talent needs for our clients - from initial screening through to starting. This has given me a unique insight into market trends in the automotive industry, the roles that are required in order to build a world-class engineering company and significant networking opportunities within R+D. As part of the Innovation team, the projects I work on are exclusively R+D based and centre upon Lithium-Ion battery technology within the automotive industry. During this role, I have recruited for positions within virtually all functions of high value manufacturing organisations; This includes, Logistics, Quality, Production, Manufacturing, Design and Operations and levels varying from head of department and general manager to technician. Facilitating the recruitment requirements for a world leading automotive service provider for ongoing and temporary projects taking place in a number of major OEM’s in the UK and Western Europe. My role involved carrying through the entire recruitment process; this includes finding candidates, using an intimate knowledge of the production process in order to explain the various roles we recruit for and selling them to the candidates, liaising with project management within the OEM’s and writing up contracts. As part of this role, I have recruited candidates for ongoing projects the company has in Rolls Royce, Bentley, Aston Martin, McLaren, Ford, VDL Nedcar, Jaguar Land Rover and Volvo. I have attended various recruitment days in order to aid the recruitment process by sourcing candidates directly. My role has involved me liaising with project management in order to deal with issues of employee relations and execute disciplinary actions.
