Sam entered the certification industry early straight from high school and has been working at Private Certifiers Australia for just over 2 years. During this time he has completed his study at the College of Professional Development and has obtained his Restricted Building Surveyor/A3 Accreditation.In addition to the team at Private Certifiers Australia, Sam has been closely mentored by his father, Grant Harrington (Director at Private Certifiers Australia and member of the AAC Board of Directors). Currently Sam’s strengths revolve around assessment of various Class 1 and 10 building applications. He’s also quickly gaining experience on vast range of Class 2-9 buildings whilst working alongside other certifiers in the office.Sam has recently decided to make a sea-change and will be moving to the North Coast/Gold Coast at the beginning of 2024, where he has taken a position at Coastline Building Certification Group. He’s also completed the required course for Private Building Certification for undertaking certification work in Queensland. He endeavours to continue to excel in his skills and knowledge in the certification industry, with a key focus on the commercial sector and pursuing further study in an advanced diploma course to obtain his A2 accreditation. With a love of the beach, sports and cars, on the weekends you will typically find him in the surf, tinkering in the workshop or catching up on sport.
