My responsibilities were the full in-field operation, from transport of machinery, to operation management, all aspects of broadacre cereal sowing, spraying, and harvest from managing the site to operating and repairing the machines:-management on on site storage and grain deliveries-management of chemical delivery, storage, application and disposal-management of seeding and fertilizer rates, cropping depth, and assessment of seeding operations under field conditionsandoperation of all machinery for all aforementioned operations, particularly as a dependable one-man "night shift" operating independently and capable of dealing with most contingencies, including:- assessment and adjustment of all physical aspects of the operation- maintenance, repair, and some emergency field-repair of all relevant machinery- workshop operations for the maintenance, repair, and some "contingency engineering" of all relevant machinery- with the knowledge base to extend, alter, and jury rig almost any aspect of the operation, on the fly, if needed and desirable.

I was assistant to H.L. Hart in all aspects of a broadacre cereal production business of approximately 2000 hectares, and competent in every aspect of farm management, business planning, and the physical operations, tasks, and environmental management of same.
