About Sam Helmich

I am a passionate data science leader and practitioner with 10 years of experience and increasing levels of responsibility. I have extensive applied data science skills, including deep learning, machine learning, business intelligence and dashboarding. Throughout my career, I have demonstrated the ability to grow data science teams, infrastructure, and buy-in in analytical processes by executing quality fundamental work that demonstrates business and customer value, and then building out teams on top of those core competencies. I think statistics is a common language that can be used to help answer and put the appropriate context around problems from all domains. While I have an extensive background in agriculture, my mastery of the language of statistics paired with my natural curiosity about all domains allows me to close the gap quickly in new areas while delivering high-quality analysis. Critical to this success is my effectiveness in collaborating.
