This role is a development role which sits under our Service Improvement Team but is dedicated to Cancer Services.I will be working alongside the AGM for Cancer services and the Service Improvement Team to agree projects and what improvements are needed.This will mean working alongside many different stakeholders, to ensure that processes are implemented correctly, appropriately and are well tested so they can be sustained. This will also include having an input on building and streamlining the in house tracking system called ‘Infoflex’ to make sure it is being fully utilised.

The department preps all Outpatient notes for Kings Mill Hospital for all specialties. I manage and coordinate forty plus staff members, to ensure the smooth running of the department. Working with nursing staff, Consultants and our Business Unit to maintain and improve the department. Having been in the post for a few months now, I have already implemented new processes that are working well. CQC are visiting the Trust this year so alongside running the team I have been updating our SOPs for our department and others. This role has enabled me to use and build on management skills, communication skills and build on relationships within the different departments. Digitalisation is a high priority in this department and will be working alongside management to source the most effective and safe way to implement.I will also begin the Mary Seacole course in April, studying alongside my full time role.

Promoted to the central admin department, we are a small team who work for all specialities within the organisation across all four sites to ensure the clinics run effiecently. Working along side consultants, business management teams, and other departments.We are pioneers for the eReferral service and are now paperless, we work hard and efficiently to ensure we are 100% compliant and work alongside GP's, consultants and the business department to maintain this. Currently learning how to build DOS's on the C&B site and in depth applications within C&B

Working everyday setting up clinics, working to critical paths to ensure the patients are seen within target. Working alongside management and clinical teams to ensure all patients and clinics run on time, and effectively.A fast pased environment, working on both emails, complex Medway system and daily phone use.Having an extensive knowledge of clinical codes and specialties. Learning more everyday!

At Watermelon I am part of a small team providing licensing and product development support to Marks and Spencer, including Children’s wear, Women’s and Accessories.I am involved everyday with making sure all approvals are turned round within 24 hours and strive to gain comments back for M&S within the critical path.I work closely to ensure that we have a good working relationship with both the licencors, suppliers, and M&S to maintain smooth process’s, and avoid delays and mis-communication.As a company we work with over 70 different licenses, this means that I have to be up to date with all process and I always feel confident enough to pass on my comments, guidance and concerns to new and existing licenses.I also manage the packaging development across all of the licenses, working alongside our packaging designer to ensure all packaging is correct and on time.We recently had a turnaround of staff and processes, which also meant there was only myself and the Approvals Manager to hold up the Approvals side for six months, I pride myself on the fact that with excellent time management, and an open mind to new ideas and communication we maintained our reputation and high standards.I have always been open to new ideas and suggestions, especially if it is in the best interests of the company.

As part of a busy Hospital I had to ensure the reception and prepping teams ran efficiently, and ensure that patient care was at the front of every decision made. I took on this role at a relatively young age, but took it all on board and grew as a person, and I believe I went above and beyond as a Supervisor, at the time a new process was implemented for the whole of the outpatient system, of which I strongly supported and was an ambassador to promote across other areas within the Hospital.
