I graduated in May of 2023 with my undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kansas with a concentration in Biomechanics. In the fall of 2023, I began my graduate study in Biomedical Engineering at Virginia Tech.During the summer of 2022, I was fortunate to begin my professional experience in the field of Mechanical Engineering as an intern with Peraton at the USPS Central Repair Facility in Topeka, KS. I continued in this role through the spring 2023 semester as well, working with a team of engineering interns from various disciplines on special projects for the Postal Service.In addition to getting my education, I have been a Cross Country and Track & Field Student Athlete at the University of Kansas for the last four years, which has given me the opportunity to grow my skills in teamwork and leadership. Running in college has been a tremendously rewarding experience for me, but I have had to learn to manage my time efficiently in order to strike a balance between school and my athletic commitments. I am excited to continue in this journey as a student-athlete at Virginia Tech.
