My ability to motivate others to do their best was honed during the 27 years I managed and scheduled construction teams composed of 5 to 56 employees plus subcontractors. The demands and diplomacy required to successfully construct water treatment facilities, waste water treatment facilities, and water storage reservoirs proved a strong foundation when I was appointed General Superintendent of the $22 million dollar Erie North Water Reclamation Facility Design Build Project with Burns & McDonnell. I directed an onsite management team of five area superintendents, a field engineer, and a jobsite coordinator to collaborate with the owner and engineer to deliver this most recent project under budget and ahead of schedule. Effective problem solving skills are a strong point in my construction management practices.Throughout the project, I maintained the most competent and qualified safety-conscious work force possible. Continual job training and safety training was imperative to the progress of this project. With several years experience in construction estimating, I can deliver schedules, by the critical path method, that are both practical and flexible. My experience in industry standards to adverse weather conditions can keep projects from being extended or delayed. My merits have been defined by cold and hot weather concrete construction on past projects. Onsite construction management of a municipal water & waste water treatment facility means responsibility.
