My experience highlights my career path in Software/Firmware Engineering Management and Development. I began as a Software/Firmware Developer leading up to my last position as Director of Engineering. In my Director and Senior Manager positions I worked Engineering Program/Project/Product Management and desire to continue my career in that direction. I have the ability to communicate clearly between engineering teams and stakeholders, to drive deliverables and delight customers. I am a proven problem solver and innovator with a consistent track record of achievement and a unique talent for bringing together internal (software, hardware, QA, manufacturing) and external stakeholders (customers, third party vendors, etc). During my career I have led large diverse engineering teams in the U.S. and abroad. These teams included managers and developers. I am a relationship builder that enjoys collaborating across disciplines, with the ability to bring clarity to technical challenges and put technical discussions in the context of company strategy and market opportunity. My recent experience includes Product Definition, Requirements/Statements of Work, resource and project/product scheduling, manufacturing, certification and quality assurance testing, product deployment, product field support and end of life planning/execution. I am an advocate of Agile Development (I am a Certified Scrum Master) emphasizing the core values of iteration and stakeholder feedback while keeping quality high throughout the project/product life cycle. I also have many years of experience architecting and writing embedded firmware/software running on custom hardware platforms.
