- Managing a team of support staff in dealing with clients who possess complex needs, challenging behaviour, risk to self and the community and a range of mental health diagnosis'. - Overseeing the transition of those who have been through the criminal justice system into independent living in the community. Ensuring effective liaising with local authorities and maintaining a collaborative approach through Multi Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) meetings and contact with involved professionals.- Coordinating the company’s support network and acting as the first port of call via an on-call system. Dealing with all staffing related issues whilst advising clients and staff alike on all pressing matters and emergencies.- Penning monthly rotas spanning multiple projects with the goal to provide an efficient, well-equipped service.- Keeping well informed with community-based schemes targeted at the vulnerable in society and any local mental health drop-in services, to best notify the support team and clients.

- Working for a supported living provider offering bespoke person-centred support to a diverse pool of individuals who possess complex needs and challenging behaviour. - Working with clients who have mental health issues and forensic backgrounds, in their rehabilitation process and steps towards independent living in the community.- Penning a detailed and concise daily evaluation document of a client’s actions on any given day. Including any conversations, a client’s perceived emotional wellbeing, cause for concern and any positive progression towards living independently.

William Hill provided me with my initial foray into the commercial world of gambling. Here I learnt invaluable lessons including customer and bookmaker behaviour, the makeup of odds, and the approach of sharp bettors. My time at one of the UK’s biggest bookmakers ended with managerial experience and laid the foundations for a career in the sector on the other side of the cash register.
