Includes press releases, technical documents for the Bank of England & HM Treasury and material for ministerial and senior management briefings.• Delivery of monthly UK inflation data releases via press conferences including Q&A sessions.• Management of computer processing for UK CPI, including database administration and maintenance (SQL and INGRES).• Creation of computer system documentation including system administrator guide, technical specifications and functional requirements to assist with future system maintenance and development.• Project management of ONS input into the International Comparison Program in Africa, an initiative to monitor the implementation of World Bank Millennium Development Goals and improve African statistical capacity.• Creation and development of CPI analysis spreadsheets for modelling impact of price changes on UK consumers for commodities and services.• Compilation of detailed monthly inflation briefing notes for publication on the ONS website.• Project Executive role in quality assurance and review program overseeing changes to CPI section and item weights, item index production spreadsheets and the ‘basket of goods’.• Consultancy visits to new European Union Member States and the Channel Islands to provide technical assistance and assess CPI construction techniques and application.• Implementation of methodological improvements to ensure compliance with Eurostat legislation.
