Responsible for the design and oversight of the wire installation, operation and maintenance of complex electrical components, equipment and systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develops and maintains aircraft electrical cable/wire harness system installations, concepts and designs. Interfaces with engineering leads to resolve design issues, captures changes and closes out designs to meet schedule and budget targets. Supports installation of systems via liaison with modification facility, identifies root cause issues, captures redline updates, resolves design issues and updates drawings to meet schedule. Maintains close coordination with project engineers to comply with schedule and cost requirements of programs. Prepares and analyzes electrical system layouts and performs design reviews. Provides engineering design disposition on discrepancies such as non-conformance requests and pick-ups. Documents processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities. Designs and oversees the installation, operation and maintenance of electrical components, equipment and systems. Utilizes Catia V5, Enovia LCA, and IVT installations of electrical components to meet requirements. Insures successful completion of the assigned project phase within the budgeted time and cost constraints.
