For +25 years I’ve been a music professional with expert knowledge in music culture, chart and playlist compilations, music research and writing. I’ve been occupying a key position in the Belgian music industry, closely working with all record labels, radio and TV stations, press, music rights societies, international music organizations and the government. As a spokesperson for Ultratop I also became a high-profile music expert highly solicited by all media. It was a very big honor and recognition for me to be awarded with a Lifetime Achievement MIA (Music Industry Award, cfr. Grammy) for 25 years of profound Ultratop work. My contributions and achievements are as follows:~ Co-founded Ultratop Official Belgian music charts brand which became main chart reference for music industry, media and public eye in addition to co-setup airplay monitoring deal with Music Control/Nielsen/Radiomonitor. Launched leading Ultratop music website and curated Belgian streaming playlists, incl. first ever Belgian New Music Friday playlist.~ Established three music channels while at Stingray targeting Belgian, Dutch, and French pop and alternative music.~ Accomplished publication of 600+ page book in 2006 to celebrate 10th anniversary of Ultratop, selling more than 5K copies.I have a big knowledge of local music, but I’m also specialized in French music, while closely following Dutch, English, Spanish, Italian, German and Scandinavian music. Throughout my career, I have developed solid leadership skills and achieved out of the box results. I have a reputable track record of negotiating and accomplishing deals and enhancing brand awareness. I herald from Mechelen, a nice city in the middle between Antwerp and Brussels in Belgium. From my early childhood on I was immediately obsessed with music and started compiling my own charts when I was 6. Growing up with music from Abba, Blondie, David Bowie and local music, I took an interest in French music very quickly and as a teenager started reading international music business magazines such as Billboard, Music Week and Musique Info. I’m also interested in film, art, food, hiking, travelling and spending time with family and friends.
