Mechanical Technician
Current-Currently working Shifts 4 on 4 off, 2 days, 2 nights (12hr shifts).-Knowledge and experience working on Electric Arc Furnace, Water treatment plant, pumps/compressors/motors/gearboxes/bearings, Hydraulic and pneumatic systems and Overhead Cranes.-Provide subject matter expertise to identify and rectify faults to ensure continuity of manufacturing to specified quality standards.-Demonstrate fault finding through the use of schmatic drawings, pressure testing, manuals and assembly drawings. -Be accountable and responsible for management systems; ensuring all activity is undertaken in compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.-Identify improvement opportunities and produce technical reports through collaborative working with relevant departments.-To ensure that changes to plant, process procedures and organisation are appropriately risk accessed and follow correct change of control procedure.-Repairing, adjusting, and maintaining production assets and machinery to maintain high standards of reliability and quality throughout all processes.-Demonstrated competency in; fabrication and welding (Mig, Arc and Tig), machining, fitting, pipe fitting, hydraulic systems, overhead cranes and fault finding.-Completion of safe isolation of gases, fluid power, pneumatic and mechanical equipment through safe working procedures, risk assessments, permits to work and DECAP lock out procedures.-Proficient in the use of SAP.-Licensed in the safe use of; counterbalance forklift truck, Overhead gantry Crane, Scissor lift and Cherry picker.-Having a proactive attitude to safety and adherence to all safety procedures throughout the site.
