During my career I have developed expertise on UK based collaborative provision within the HE sector, I focus on creating collaborative partnerships that enhance both educational opportunities and the regional offering. My work centres on fostering relationships between further and higher education (FE and HE) providers, aligning institutional priorities to complement one another rather than compete. I am particularly passionate about widening access for mature learners and enhancing the workforce through alternative routes into higher education, often in collaboration with niche training providers and local NHS trusts.I have extensive expertise in partnerships and collaborative provision, with a strong focus on business development, monitoring, and enhancement. My experience also includes managing non-standard student lifecycles and overseeing statutory returns and reporting.Prior to my role at DMU, I worked with VSO in Namibia, where I helped to improve GCSE-equivalent outcomes by promoting learning through activities outside the classroom. I also contributed to English language and tourism research for the Board of Tourism in Shizuoka, Japan, which gave me valuable insights into international education and collaboration.In my current role, I am committed to driving partnerships with a purpose, ensuring that every collaboration adds value to both the institutions and the students they serve. By working closely with local NHS trusts, apprenticeship providers, FE colleges and other key regional partners, I strive to create pathways that benefit learners, institutions, and the broader community.
