I have spent my career creating solutions to unique challenges. My goal is never to follow a list of steps, but to optimize and streamline something to find the best solution. Much of that process is to find patterns in data. I have used technology to help me with this and found the patterns on my own. I always try to look for the story within the information I receive.As a teacher, communication is one of my strengths. In education, the practice of “scaffolding” is to take a students current understanding and explain a new concept using terms they already know. This real-time cycle of explaining and assessing understanding is one that helps me to communicate ideas in a variety of settings.Besides the time spent at work, I enjoy working with Excel. I will create my own questions and use formulas and simulations to arrive to an answer. I also run the student program at our church. I teach, plan events, fund raise, and build relationships.
