Product development is my passion. I love the creative, problem solving process of fully understanding a user and coming up with innovative ways of fulfilling their needs under commercial, regulatory and technical constraints. I believe in a risk based approach to systematically iterating a design from an early aspirational sketch, through prototyping and on to a fully fledged, high performing detailed design which is robust and easy to manufacture.As a product development consultant I have been privileged to work on a vast array of products, leading large multi-disciplined engineering teams and getting products all the way to successful launches. My favourite developments create physical devices addressing a variety of challenges in multiple areas whether that be mechanical, electrical, software, fluidic etc. As an engineer I have strong mechanical and systems engineering skills and am proficient in several software languages.
