A follower of Jesus Christ; coach/trainer in aid & development work for creating community managed local systems, using causal loop analysis, soft systems methodology , participatory methods, organisational design, and institutional design (Bloomington School & Ostroms' work) to design self-managing adaptive systems for sustainability and to create working partnerships between local people, and government. These skills and knowledge have been acquired over 46 years of work in Asia (India, Nepal, Bangladesh, China), Africa (Somalia (Somaliland), Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Liberia, Ghana, Gambia, Sierra Leone), UK (ActionAid International Office, DFID, IDS), USA (Indiana University, WB meetings). A live working example is the Rwanda Ubudehe which I coached from 2001 to 2008. This was awarded the UN Public Service Award for 2008 for Africa and it continues in 2014 as part of national policy. I coached HIV/AIDs high risk groups in a co-production effort for health services (AVAHAN (Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation India) HLFPPT, APSACS, 3 yrs). Helped strategy development in Emmanuel Hospital Association's programme ORCHID to rehabilitate persons-using-drugs (Manipur, Nagaland, 2012-13). I teach community-led planning In the PRAXIS annual commune; the SOCHARA health fellowship programme covering systems thinking and community led work. I am also involved in discipling Christians as part of the healing-and-deliverance ministry team of Adonai Ministries, Bangalore.
