Digital Media Marketer/Social Media Manager at the North West University. Responsible for:• Community management and moderation of multiple social media profiles (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Linkedin) • Engaging and responding to user comments, queries, messages over a various spectrum of social media platforms according to the voice , tone and brand attributes of the NWU. • Scheduling of social media posts using social media management software (Hootsuite) • Tracking of social media profiles using tools such as: Hootsuite Analytics , TalkWalker and BrandsEye• Monitoring of NWU social media platforms daily• Communicating with various stakeholders through social media platforms • Content Curation, planning, Live tweeting and updating of social media pages during events (Open days, Graduations, Sporting events, Public & Inaugural Lectures, School Visits, Registration & Orientation programme) • Content creation, development and manage published content : (Images, video and written) for Social Media pages: writing content for social media posts, designing artwork for posts using canvas , photography, and videos. •Recruiting prospective students using social media.

The Bridgestone World Solar Car Challenge is the world's most prestigious solar car racing event in the world. This is the biggest and most successful social media campaign I've worked on. I also had the privilege and opportunity of traveling to Australia with the NWU's Solar Car Team. My duties and responsibilities included: • Live coverage on social media, organizational media management, videos and radio scripts for the NWU Solar Car. (Developing a Social Media Strategy for the Solar Car)• Developing & Creating Social Media content for the NWU’s Solar Car pages during the race (Updating Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook) • Live Tweeting, social media build up and activations. • Shooting behind the scenes footage, videos, and inserts (Vox Pops, interviews, and Live Crossovers) The race takes place from Darwin to Adelaide (3000kms) in 8 days and on solar power only!
