Maintained ETC's implementation of various entertainment networking protocols, which connect entertainment control and configuration software to light fixtures and other equipment. Libraries are implemented in C/C++ and deployed across several embedded and non-embedded platforms.Developed firmware for ETC's line of entertainment control and network products.Served as ETC's representative to ESTA's Control Protocols Working Group, a body that develops interoperability standards for the live entertainment industry.

Contributed to continuous product improvement by adding features and correcting design flaws as necessary in existing designs, conducting engineering validation testing, and issuing ECOs to manufacturing.Worked closely with designers and product managers to ensure that features worked as expected and that the physical look and feel of the product was acceptable.As the sole engineer responsible for products from the bitLab (a program for crowdsourcing designs from the engineering community), solidified the engineering process by which designs were reviewed, improved and manufactured. Contributed improved hardware and firmware designs for the inaugural run of products from the program.Designed and improved modules representing a diverse range of technologies including motion sensing, audio synthesis and amplification, capacitive touch, Arduino, and MIDI.

As lead engineer on multiple product designs, managed contributions from other engineers and designers and coordinated them into a single product design effort.Designed hardware for motion sensing using PIR, ambient light sensing, 0-10V dimming, and load sensing and switching up to 20A as well as embedded software and protocol development for M2M communication.Advanced through all design stages (electrical design, prototype, engineering samples, testing, certification and release to manufacturing) quickly and efficiently while under significant time pressure.Gained hands-on experience in mixed-signal design, design for manufacturing, and UL and FCC compliance while working with a diverse team of electrical, mechanical and software engineers and graphic designers.

PWM Inverter Error Minimization Project: - Designed a control scheme to balance power loss from switching frequency against error in current waveform- Used MATLAB and Simulink for control scheme implementation and collected test results from a DSP-controlled PWM inverter driving an induction motor
