Sam joined the Proof of Trust team, as Head of R&D, with significant blockchain research experience, in particular the implementation of blockchain technology, the use of smart contracts and digital identity storage. This work has won him the position of `Research Fellow’ in September 2018, by The University of Manchester. Sam’s primary roles for The Proof of Trust are in assisting with the development and maintenance of a secure and highly specialised 'Trust Rating' algorithm, as well as in-depth research into the uses and requirements for a remote dispute resolution service.In addition to working at The Proof of Trust, Sam is an accomplished nuclear physics PhD graduate, with multiple publications on the topics of nuclear structure and technical development. During his career in nuclear physics, hemade the very first measurements in history relating to unexpected relative production yields of isomeric nuclear states, within the ytterbium isotope chain. During his time at The University of Manchester, Sam pioneered new techniques in electrostatic ion storage, using computational models, that have since been successfully implemented at international research facilities.
