I had the honour of participating in the Annual British Model Flying Association Payload Challenge with Loughborough University. Teams of engineering students from around the world had to design, manufacture, and fly an aircraft carrying the heaviest/most payload (water) within budget and safety constraints. My role was one of three main designers and I took on the undercarriage and payload container as my task. My responsibilities were to design and produce a landing system that could withstand the payload but also work with my teammates to accommodate their components to work effectively with my design.
