Multi-faceted role as a Product & Process Engineer, Project Manager, and LabVIEW Software Developer. Ei Electronics design and manufacture fire and CO alarms for residential settings, along with various accessories, RF interconnect modules, GSM Gateways, etc.Product & Process Engineer (5 YOE): Liaising with internal and external stakeholders (from business and technical teams) to build consensus around the requirements for new products and identify/communicate the technical challenges to all. Other duties include product/protocol specification, test plan development, and establishing / optimizing internal processes and management protocols, e.g., architecture for online management of field issues via Jira Kanban board. Project Manager (4 YOE): Managing multiple technological R&D projects where a product is brought from concept to being released to manufacturing. Responsible for scheduling and resource and expectation management, risk mitigation, and co-ordinating contributions of various stakeholders/departments to bring the product development to completion. LabVIEW Software Development (3+ YOE): Developing automated test applications for R&D, validation, manufacturing, and RF tester applications. Such applications require communication with Ei products via UART and RF messaging, sensing and actuation via IOs, instrumentation control, SQL database interaction, API interaction, etc.

Full-time Research Masters (Physics/Electrochemistry) focused on Nanostructured Materials for Integrated Device Applications. The project was fully funded by the Irish Research Council and Analog Devices under the Enterprise Partnership Scholarship. The overall objective was to characterize and control the magnetic properties of electrochemically deposited alloy nanotubes so they could be tailored to suit a range of applications in integrated devices. Spent time researching in UL and in Analog Devices’ semiconductor wafer fabs and laboratories.
