Helping schools, teachers, and students get the most out of the incredible Learning Gardens TKC installs across Chicago and the country. Sam leads a team of Garden Educators to build and support a network of over 150 Learning Garden in Chicago Public Schools. Their work inspires teachers to use these outdoor living laboratories as a powerful educational resource for their students. The real food education delivered through their program creates change in the preferences students have for eating fresh fruits and vegetables and works to ultimately disrupt our current food system and drive the reimagining of agriculture as a sustainable, nourishing force in our culture and our economy.

This 5 member rock and roll band recorded 3 albums and 2 EPs showcasing deep, complex and highly artistic songwriting and craftsmanship. Loud and powerful electric sound inspired by classic rock and grunge mixed with a modern indie-rock sensibility. Performed at Festivals (SXSW, CMJ, Summerfest, Mission Creek, MidPoint) for television (RedBull Rock the Route, JBTV, Artie Lange), recorded commercials (Jack Daniels, Target) and played countless shows from dive bars to amphitheaters all across the United States bringing high energy rock and roll to the people.

Inspired a love of music and a respect for the craft of drum set performance. A studio of 15-25 weekly students participated in an original instructional program for students from 4 years old through adults. Teaching philosophy was synthesized from my own experience studying drums both privately and at Rutgers University, as well as the influence of the writing of Shinichi Suzuki . Served as Artist in Residence at Baker Demonstration School leading all middle school classrooms in a percussion performance that taught a history of American popular music through the lens of drum set.

Worked as both a doorman and Administrative Assistant in the condo management office at a high rise condominium in the heart of Lincoln Park. Supported accounting, record keeping, resident communications and staffing. Provided exceptional service to all residents and guests and worked closely with office management to ensure a highly organized workplace environment.

Prepared concert hall and rehearsal rooms for performances and managed in house performance logistics including A/V support, stage setup, artist relations, and internal communications of all aspects related to facilitation of the highest level of music performance at Merit School of Music and the Joy Faith Knapp Music Center

Wrote and recorded music with a large symphonic indie-folk pop musical outfit. Toured the midwest and east coast headlining venues and festivals and opening for large touring national acts.
