Truckmate Professional Services Consultant

-Collaborate with transportation business leaders to identify, document, and communicate business needs and work within the IT department to ensure those needs are met-Serve as main IT point of contact for the transportation department-Partner with the business, IT team, and vendors to capture and validate business, functional and technical requirements-Facilitate requirements elicitation sessions and walkthroughs with business and IT resources-Assist in producing timely and high-quality requirements-related work products, including requirement specifications, functional specifications, process flows and mock-ups-Understand the relationships, dependencies, and impact of neighboring business functions-Understand core systems, applications, and technical platforms-Document and assess current business processes and underlying systems / applications-Review technical designs to ensure that business needs are being met -Day to day server and application administration for the transportation systems (Truckmate, Paragon, and Peoplenet)-Provide front line support for the key business systems that the transportation department leverages in their day to day duties which includes Truckmate, Paragon, and Peoplenet-Responsible for adhering to the IT Change Control Process for managing changes to the IT systems-Execute projects and priorities based on the discretion and feedback from the IT and business leaders

-Assures on-time deliveries to JM Swank and outside freight customers-Monitors drivers’ activities and hours of service, coordinating and organizing loads for JRRW drivers to ensure legal and safe driving practices in conjunction with timely service-Negotiates for competitively priced backhaul freight for JRRW trucks-Communicates with Sales/Customer Service, Purchasing, and Warehouse personnel regarding status and/or problems with JM Swank freight movements-Generates weekly freight and transportation metrics using KPI data and excel formulas-Implement applications and logic that allows for integration of each software within multiple departments of the company and automation of data entry-Maintains effective contacts/relationships with existing and potential outside freight customers-Continually communicates and coordinates territory equipment and freight activities with other members of the transportation team and the Manager as related to the overall operation-Troubleshoot and resolve Transportation IT issues including SQL database work, EDI functionality, and TMS software maintenance such as Truckmate, Paragon, AX, and CRM-Implement and redeploy multi-user functionality and backhaul routing capability with Paragon Routing Software

-Provided guests with professional service and consistency of execution in an attractive, well-maintained environment-Conducted training sessions for newly inducted staff, teaching proper industry services-Orchestrated all social functions including private parties, business meetings and formal engagements
