Moving to a Broadcast Associate, I shifted my knowledge of editing to graphics. I built topic bar, full screen, and lower third graphics for our shows on the network - NASCAR Race Hub and NASCAR Raceday (Truck, Xfinity, and Cup Series). In addition to the graphics side of my job, I was put in charge with editing all the elements for the NASCAR Trucks Series Race. My job was to work with the NASCAR Truck Series Producer and the talent to edit pieces that told the story of the season and race and to bring a creative side of editing to enhance the elements that are going to be shown within the NASCAR Truck Series Race.

To utilize the skills I have acquired from high school and advance my interest in the live production of sports, I volunteer my time to the UCF Video Department to learn what it takes to produce a sporting event. From getting to games and staying after hours before the players, to coming into the office to help label clips or edit videos, I am surrounded by professionals that put on all the video aspects of UCF sporting events. In the Video Services Department, we work to create a video board show for football and basketball games from pre-produced content to the live event. For all the home games the Orlando Apollos had, I was working with the replay operator to choose the best camera angles for the spectators to see a specific flag or special play. I work with the replay assistant in changing the camera angles available to them so they can clip and save the best memories of each game.

I started video production my freshman year of high school and fell in love immediately. In my 4 years, I participated in every aspect of production from film, broadcast, photography, pre-production to post-production, and in my last 2 years, I mentored and taught the incoming classes of our program. I taught at our program's summer camp for 3 years, teaching kids from kindergarten to 8th grade how to write, film, and edit videos they come up with. I participated in many competitions from Florida Scholastic Press Association District and State levels, winning a couple of awards at each, to Student Television Network at the national level competing in broadcast magazine show. In my senior year, I was lucky enough to be chosen to participate in the All American High School Film Festival Invitational, where for 6 weeks we wrote, planed and filmed a documentary and short film to be submitted.
