Cyber Security Engineer
• Research and analyze, classified and unclassified, foreign state cyber threat actors as well as their forms of cyberattacks, malware, behavior, and trends in order to inform commanders of their intent and possible courses of action.• Write new and edit outdated Standard Operating Procedures, checklists, and Memorandums of Agreement in accordance with Air Force regulations, National Guard Bureau regulations, and Wing guidance to streamline office procedures and programs.• Develop and implement communication security (COMSEC) practices through a multitude of platforms to include software encryption and hardcopy methods.• Work with internal and external audit groups to resolve regulatory issues and maintain compliance.• Maintain appropriate standards for transporting, storing, issuing, and destroying classified COMSEC materials as set by the NSA and USAF. • Perform duties as a Client Support Administrator which include responsibilities for researching, managing, and troubleshooting computer systems, printers, scanners, software, and information technology equipment assigned to the Operations Group.• Maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
Intelligence Analyst
Worked fulltime in this role for 5 years.• Screen and analyze data from over 25 intelligence sources and conduct threat analysis of theoperational environment to produce timely, accurate and relevant intelligence reports, missionbriefings, situation estimates, and order-of-battle studies.• Was selected for a six-month rotation with the Kansas Counter Drug Task Force where I worked in their intelligence cell developing leads on suspects- utilized the digital forensics software Cellebrite to gain access to locked mobile devices to download data within allocated and unallocated space to be collected as evidence.• Research and analyze foreign state cyber threat actors as well as their forms of cyberattacks, malware, behavior, and trends in order to inform commanders of their intent and possible courses of action.• Conduct and lead Threat Working Group meetings in order to mitigate a myriad of threats, including cyber, and advise Wing leadership on recommendations from the group. • Work with Inspector General Staff as part of the Wing Inspection Team to coordinate wing wide inspections and exercise guidelines and scenarios in order to effectively inspect individuals in performance of their duties to more effectively maintain standards across the Wing.• Conduct in-depth research and analysis of enemy doctrine as well as tactics, techniques andprocedures employed by adversaries and utilize decision making skills to provide senior leaderswith probable enemy courses of action.• Develop and deliver briefings designed to inform all customers including commanders, aircrew, force protection personnel, and deploying personnel of the current threat environment and the political and military situation.• Use current service specific products and guidance both classified and unclassified for the research and development of intelligence briefings, reports, and situation estimates.• Maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
