2015-Present: Full-time Teacher of English and journalist working in Secondary Education. Currently holding a middle-management position at Secondary School as Key Stage Five Co-Ordinator, focusing on crafting a curriculum and assessment framework that effectively supports progress and prepares students for their formal examinations in AQA English Language and Literature. Previously held a position as Head of Media Studies and at same school and oversaw rapid increase in results in successive academic years, from 29% A-C in the year before takeover to an improvement of first to 42% in 2019 and then 73% in 2020. Also worked as Assistant Learning Lead during academic year 2020-21 while colleague went on maternity leave.A teacher currently in seventh successive year as a fully-qualified member of staff with several successive years of excellent results, never achieving a pass rate of lower than 71% Grade 4-9 as the main class teacher. Alongside teaching, has also been an examiner for AQA English Literature during the summer of 2018, and has led the department on good practice and marking in that cohort since.A fully qualified teacher with practice graded at "Good with Outstanding Features" by West Midlands Consortium Training Provider and further reiterated by formal subject reviews, termly NQT observations and external educational observations including LEA, HMI and OFSTED.
