Creative Consultant, Industrious Professional, Devout Tourist and a Thoughtful Listener – these are my occupations. This is what describes me. This is how I think my peers feel about me. I wasn’t born with a love for marketing. But after years of school, jobs, success and failures, I found my niche. My story begins at the University of Maryland, where I found my capabilities in design and marketing. Through the Strategic Design and Innovation Fellows Program, I learned to hone my skills of design and implement them in a marketing setting. I figured out how to listen, communicate, apply my knowledge, and create a successful mindset, all of which have allowed me to feel so strongly about my career path. At Square 2 Marketing, I was able to collaborate with experts in web design with my own ideas, present strategies during client meetings, and allow my coworkers to become my peers. I was able to listen to not only what was being said, but rather not said, which allowed me to excel during my time there. I spent a semester in Rome where I was able to connect with people who used to seem worlds apart from me. I feel now that I can relate much better to people who may be different from me. I’ve been around the world and I grasp at every opportunity I have to travel again.There’s still more to learn about me and believe me, I’ll surprise you.
