I grew up and have lived in Southeast Ohio all my life. I love the rolling hills and mountainous terrain of Appalachia. Throughout my childhood, I attended Catholic schools. It was from attending Catholic schools that I learned the value of sacrifice and discipline from my parents, who worked hard to pay my tuition so I could attend private school.I am a proud graduate of Ohio University – Zanesville, where I earned my Bachelor of Science Degrees in Applied Management and Criminal Justice and graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors and other academic achievements earned throughout my collegiate career.I kicked off my professional career with the State of Ohio as a State Highway Patrol Trooper. It was here that I truly grew up and was instilled with and embraced the values of adaptability, discipline, and integrity. After patrolling the highways for a while, I transitioned to another career path which is in this case, the Auditor of State’s office – Ohio Performance Team.Today, I assist state and local agencies and school districts by developing data-driven recommendations for them to implement and consequentially operate more efficiently and effectively. I find value in helping to ensure the efficient use of Ohio’s tax dollars. During my time with OPT, I’ve helped lead in-house LeanOhio trainings to teach others about Lean and Six Sigma. Further, I am a member of the compliance team, where I help to ensure we are producing high quality audits that adhere to all designated audit requirements.When I’m not on the clock, I enjoy bicycling, running, weight-training, spending time with family, and working outside. During the summer, I love going to Edisto Island, South Carolina to spend time on the beach and look for shark teeth.
