My role was all based around the customer journey of a policy holder. I was responsible for ensuring I had the knowledge to answer all questions customers may have. One of the key learnings from this role was how to deal with difficult situations with customers, which involved learning how to minimise stress for the customer by providing an understanding service along with going beyond the standard organisational expectations of service.• During this role, I received recognition of the Ageas V.I.P Award for outstanding performance and hard work, exceeding targets and providing a customer focused attitude.• Communication across teams within the business while retaining conversations with customers was imperative; utilising business social collaboration tools such as Workplace, I had to ensure my focus and priorities were to always deliver for the customer, meeting tough targets for the organisation.• Each day I encountered different people and personalities, for which I needed to be adaptable in my approach and communication. I really enjoyed the social interaction of customer service, and this passion I feel has enabled me to be an excellent communicator with strong people skills.• Time keeping was essential with my work and goes hand in hand with being organised and attention to detail to ensure I provided the most efficient and effective customer service, while also following industry regulations and compliance.• I voluntarily expanded my role to be involved in the new starter processes. This has been part of my professional development to build on my team skills and learn from other people’s career development.

Starting as an apprentice hairdresser, I went on to become a qualified women’s hairdresser. My role was embedded with the public in providing cuts which met a high expectation within tough time frame. Being a hairdresser it was up most important to give a great service and friendly atmosphere for them to become a loyal customer for the business. • Whilst learning at a fast rate, it was important I worked well as part of the team, learning off the more experience, using criticism constructively to improve and develop.• I frequently organised charity days at the salon; ranging from cake sales to fancy dress days to raise money and have some fun on the way.
