As a Field Technician II I have a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities. These range from the installation, operation and monitoring of dewatering and treatment systems, stormwater and discharge control installation oversight and day to day operations of environmental remediation projects. Through ETIC I have the ability to work with peers of varying background to learn and work with equipment such as GPS(Trimbles), air and noise monitoring(PID's, VOC and decibel meters), soil and water sample collection and machinery(ranging from skid steers to compaction equipment). I also have the opportunity to execute and expand my ability to write daily construction reports, COC's(chain of custody), logging and processing of off haul and import soils and recording site conditions and equipment status. Through ETIC I have been given the ability to learn new skills and improve those I had prior to starting with the company. The company culture has allowed for constant progress and improvement nurtures my curiosity and allows for me to work on new tasks in my downtime.
